storm drain
  • Prevents unwanted water flooding garage and patio areas.
  • Tough, durable, lightweight plastic moulding.
  • Joiners allow the construction of lengthy channels.
  • End Caps finish branches of the drain. When a hole is cut inside the flange, the End Cap connects the system to standard 90mm stormwater pipes.
  • With appropriate installation, Channels and Grates can support a range of vehicles.

Superior PVC Soakwells

PVC Soakwell
  • Recommended for all "non trafficable areas".
  • Clears unwanted water in sandy soil fast, designed to withstand ground pressure, knock out centre or bottom inlet / outlet for controlled flow
  • Drainage slots designed to provide maximum water flow to surrounding soil
  • Easy to assemble simple to install.
  • Dimensions: 620mm x 280mm x 625mm Capacity: 150L

All PVC soakwells are installed using a thick Concrete lid, Sand Membrane & Blue Metal. To view photos of PVC soakwells we have installed click here.

Concrete Soakwells

  • Concrete SoakwellWe only recommend trafficable concrete soakwells if vehicles are to pass directly above.   Concrete soakwells are built to handle heavy weight, however as no membrane can be placed around them they sometimes accumulate sand over time which decreases the capacity of the soakwell.

Freqently Asked Questions:

What is a Soakwell?

Soakwells are dug into the ground and allow rain water runoff to soak into the earth. Usually soakwells are connected to your downpipes of your roof so the rain water does not flood near your house.

Why should you install soakwells?

Not installing soakwells to catch the rain water runoff can cause a number of problems down the track. If you don't install soakwells and you allow the rain to run down your downpipes and flood where it lands, over the years all that water can cause undermining of your slab and foundations.

How many Soakwells should you install?

We recommend one 600mm x 600mm soakwell per down pipe.  This allows the water to be distributed evenly throughout your property, resulting in less satuation and flooding problems.

Why do we only install 600MM x 600MM soakwells?

From our experience we have found that large Soakwells have alot more problems. Due to their size, their drainage slots are much bigger resulting in more "leeching" problems. Having one soakwell per down pipe allows the water to be distributed evenly throughout your property, resulting in less satuation. Due to the size of them, large soakwells can also be very expensive to repair.

What is "leeching"?

Leeching occurs when the sand surrounding soakwells finds it's way into the soakwell.  This usually happens when the drain slots are too big or the PVC piping is not installed properly.  This then results in the ground above the soakwell sinking. When you see deressed paving or low points above the soakwell - this is what has usually occured.
